Tysons Corner Expansion

Tysons Corner Expansion

In 2005, VarcoMac took part in a large scale expansion and renovation of the Tysons Corner Center in McLean, Virginia. The project area totaled nearly 400,000 square feet, and included the addition of new retail space and a food court. The total dollar value of the project exceeded $130,000,000.

To support the added space, VarcoMac installed three new electrical services, power and communication distribution to over thirty future tenant spaces, and provided extensive electrical site work.

The project also included an astonishing installation of custom light fixtures throughout. In one instance, VarcoMac designed and installed thirty-eight small, high intensity recessed lights in the ceiling of a large, two-level atrium in the arrangement of the constellation of Cancer.
